Shilajit is a soft rock that is formed from decomposed vegetables, minerals, and plants over time. This makes it a nutrient gold-mine containing all our essential vitamins and minerals.
Shilajit is rich in fulvic and humic acids which promote energy production, enhanced nutrient absorption, and cellular regeneration. Its high antioxidant content supports cognitive function and helps slow down the aging process by aiding in tissue repair. Additionally, Shilajit boosts long-term vitality by improving stamina, supporting immune function, and promoting overall wellness.
Our recommended dosage is typically 300-500mg per day. It's best to start with a lower dose and gradually increase as needed. Our Shilajit spoons are available in the accessories tab and provide the perfect measuring guide.
The effects of Shilajit can vary from person to person depending on your nutrient deficiency so it is hard for us to say. Some people can start noticing subtle improvements, such as increased energy or mental clarity, within a week of consistent use. However, for more pronounced benefits like enhanced vitality and cognitive function, it can take 3 to 6 weeks of daily use!
Shilajit has a distinct earthy and slightly bitter taste, which may take some getting used to. We always advise to mix it with warm liquids such as water, milk, or add to your coffee and tea. Feel free to improvise according to your taste buds.
Our Shilajit is extracted from the highest regions of the Himalayan mountains ensuring its purity and potency. It is 100% free of chemicals, additives, or fillers, offering you the most concentrated form available. We also complete third party lab-test for heavy metals on regular batches. Feel free to email us at orders@oneselfwellbeing.co.uk for our most up to date results!
Shilajit may increase iron levels, so people with conditions such as hemochromatosis, or an excess of iron in the blood, should avoid it. Also, people with an active heart disease or with a history of hypotension should also avoid taking Shilajit to prevent a drop in blood pressure.
Shilajit is a very potent and powerful substance and there is not enough research on its effects and safety for younger people. Therefore we do not recommend giving it to children under the age of 16.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take shilajit in any form.
